Affiliate Strategy For Recurring Income

Most of us are familiar with the advantages of following the affiliate products business model in our beginner Internet marketing efforts. This makes sense due to the simplicity of the affiliate marketing process.

Since you are promoting someone else's products, you don't have to worry about customer support after the sale. The product owner provides this service for the buyer.

You need not worry about refunds, since these are taken care of by the product owner as well.

Affiliate marketing is really a very clean, and trouble-free process.

However, there is one disadvantage. You have to constantly drive traffic, that is, send new prospective buyers to the affiliate offer in order to earn money....

Can you Get Around This Last Issue?

Actually you can! There is a very easy, yet little used strategy that can practically guarantee ongoing affiliate commissions.

The way you do this is by concentrating on evergreen affiliate products.

These are products that people buy or sign up for that have recurring monthly payments.

A good example is website hosting services. Once you sign up for web hosting, and you set up your website, you will need to continue using the service for a long time, most likely for years.

If you obtain the hosting service by clicking someone's affiliate link, that person will continue to get a commission every single month you make a payment.

They may get only 20% or 30% of your payment, but this will continue for as many years as you keep your website active.

Products that have recurring payments

There are many other products that have recurring payments, where the product owner offers affiliate commissions. With any of these offers, you can receive monthly payments, providing you passive income.

These products are no more difficult to sell that most other affiliate products. Yet you create a recurring income that can go on for a long time.

If you follow this strategy, it does not mean that you would not offer other affiliate products that bring you only a one-time payment. It simply means that you can use a combination of the two strategies to:

1. Maximize your earnings

2. To ensure a steady cash flow into your payment account.

To do this successfully, you need to set up a website to promote the affiliate products effectively.

This way you can educate your visitors about the benefits and problem solving features of the affiliate products before your prospects decide to buy.

For best results with affiliate products, you should treat affiliate marketing just like you would promote and market your own products.

In fact, as you gain experience, you will want to offer evergreen affiliate products alongside your own products to maximize your profits.

Zero Selling Affiliate Marketing Formula

When it comes to making money online, affiliate marketing is hands down the fastest and most effective way to get started. Why is affiliate marketing so fast? Because an affiliate doesn’t need to do any of the technical work like product creation, sales page creation, e-commerce website creation and maintenance, product delivery, customer support or anything else. An affiliate simply needs to drive targeted traffic through their link, that’s all…

Here’s a recap of what affiliate marketing is, if you’re new to the game

Affiliates (Affiliate Marketers) are marketers who are paid by online retailers for referring customers to them. That payment is  called a ‘commissions’ and is typically a percentage of the product’s retail value.

Affiliates are given their own unique link (an affiliate link) which links through to the vendor’s website. If a customer travels through an affiliate’s unique link and makes a purchase, the affiliate gets paid.

You can be an affiliate for almost any product sold on the internet. Trusted websites like Amazon and Ebay even have affiliate programmes.

In order to become an affiliate for a website such as Amazon, you simply need to sign up for their affiliate programme and obtain your own unique affiliate link(s). After that you can start making money instantly.

And that is why affiliate marketing is so fast. The barrier to entry for affiliate marketing is extremely low. An affiliate marketing business (or side hustle) can be up, running and making money on the same day that you start.

Now I know what you’re thinking…

If it’s possible to make money on the same day that you start affiliate marketing, why are there so many people who try to get into affiliate marketing and fail to make any money at all?

Great question…

And there is no single one answer, because everyone who jumps into affiliate marketing has their own strategy. However, from working one on one with clients who have tried and failed with affiliate marketing, the most common reason for failure is that their strategy involves having to ‘pitch’ or ‘sell’ products.

And the majority of marketers simply aren’t sales people…

A common strategy that people try and fail with is list building. This method typically involves building a list of prospects who are interested in a certain niche (i.e. losing fat) and then emailing ‘pitching’ an affiliate product, such as ebook or video course on fat loss.

And while this method can be lucrative for some, for others it can be a costly mistake. Building and maintaining an email list costs money and it’s not uncommon for these ‘pitch’ emails to fail to even cover the cost of a monthly subscription to an email marketing software.

The problem is, marketers typically build a list by giving something away for free. The people who sign up are not necessarily looking to buy anything. Some might not even have the capabilities to ever make a purchase online – they might not have a credit or debit card, they could be under 16 or they could be broke…

Even the best sales person (or copywriter) has very little chance of selling to someone who is broke. So marketers who don’t know how to pitch have no chance!

So what is the best way to succeed fast with affiliate marketing?

The answer is the zero selling affiliate marketing method

That is, putting your affiliate link in front of people who already have their credit card in hand, waiting to buy a product or service online.

In this short report, I’m going to explain exactly how you are able to do exactly that and start making commissions today.

Without further ado, let’s get into it.

Overcoming Your Prospect’s Objection

As I’ve allied to in the introduction, the most common objection that people face when getting into affiliate marketing is selling to people who either:

  • Don’t want to buy
  • Don’t have the means to buy

The zero selling method overcomes these objections by default, because you’re putting your affiliate link in front of people who are already ready to buy

I’ll explain how shortly…

So, what objections could someone have when making a purchase online if they are already sat with a credit card in hand, ready to buy?

There’s one one objection. Think about it…

Got it yet?

The answer is simple…

  • They will only buy from websites they know and trust

Let me give you 2 scenarios…

Your prospect is ready to buy an exercise bike online. You have the capacity to put your affiliate link in front of them, sending them through to a vendors website.

In which scenario do you think you are more likely to make the sale?

  • You send the prospect an amateur looking ecommerce website site that they have never heard of. The photo of the exercise bike is clearly a stock photo. There is no clear indication of how long shipping will take etc.
  • You send the prospect to Amazon. They know the site, trust the site and have purchased from them before. They know they can get next day shipping and returning the product isn’t problematic if it’s fault. There are verified reviews from real customers of the product.

Obviously, they are more likely to pull the trigger on Amazon.

And that’s the first step in succeeding with the zero sales method, signing up to be an affiliate on a trusted website. Think websites like Amazon, Ebay, Clickbank. Websites that the vast majority of your prospects are already aware of and have probably purchased from in the past.

Now that step is done, we’re ready to move on to the 2 step process to put your affiliate link in front of those hungry buyers…

Traffic Generation
Step 1: Give ‘ready to buy’ prospects the content that they want!

As I’ve mentioned, the zero selling affiliate marketing method involves putting your affiliate link in front of people who are already ready to buy.

Sounds difficult right?

Well, you’ll be pleased to know that it’s not as difficult as you might think. In fact, it can be done very quickly and for free…

I’m going to explain how with the exercise bike example…

I’m your prospect. I’ve put a bit of weight on during lockdown and have already made the decision that I need to get back into shape. I’m sitting on the computer, credit card in hand, ready to buy an exercise bike online.

What am I going to do? Will I…

A) Search ‘exercise bike’ and purchase the first bike that comes up.

B) Search ‘exercise bike’ and find 2 or more exercise bikes that are in my price range and ‘compare’ them, so I know I’m getting the best band for my buck.

Because I’m a ‘typical’ user, I’m going to do the latter…

You see, it’s human nature to want to get the best product that I can afford. It simply doesn’t make sense to purchase the first bike that I see without comparing it to 1 or more other products of similar price.

That’s where you come in Mr successful affiliate…

You serve me – the prospect with my card in hand – with the content that I’m looking for. That is the product comparison, along with your affiliate link.

It’s that simple. In step 2, I’ll explain the format that I want!

Traffic Generation
Step 2: Creating ‘comparison’ content and getting eyeballs on it

So I want to compare 2 or more products in my price range…

How do I want to compare them?

Through a short, easy to digest comparison video of course…

It’s 2020 so I’m not looking to spend 60 minutes reading an essay on the mechanical workings of an exercise bike! I just want to know in the shortest time possible which of the products that I’m comparing is the best!

And as a marketer who is looking for free traffic, that’s great news for you. Why? Because you can seed your own comparison videos (along with your affiliate link) on high traffic websites like Youtube for free. Your videos can rank extremely quickly (I’m talking about in as little as a few minutes) if you know how to optimise them.

Now you’re probably thinking this method is a ‘no go’ because you don’t have the knowledge, expertise or tools to create effective comparison videos…

Do not jump to conclusions.

I’m telling you that anyone can do this. You can either learn how to edit videos and do it all yourself manually or you can purchase a tool like FLIIK which creates these comparison videos for you (as well as optimises them and seeds them on high traffic websites) in minutes, automatically.

Whether or not you learn how to do everything yourself or look at a tool like FLIIK depends on your own circumstances. If money is a problem, you can learn how to do everything manually but it will be an extremely steep learning curve in comparison to using FLIIK. FLIIK automates the entire zero sell affiliate marketing strategy for you in minutes. At the current price, I would 100% opt in FLIIK.

Find ways you can take your brand voice to the new levels by testing new mediums, new tactics, new technologies…

Here are 5 Marketing Tactics & Strategies, I think, You can’t ignore in 2020

influencer marketing

influencer marketing

1. Influencer Marketing breaking the limits

There is no need to go it alone when building your brand online today.

The best way to survive and show progress is to partner with industry leaders, influencers, micro-influencers, partners and even competition to grow brand awareness, authority and sales.

We are all better together than we are alone as one. The steady trend of 2020 is Influencer Marketing, which is kind of word-of-mouth marketing that focuses on using key leaders to amplify your brand message to a larger market. Influencers can be well-known celebrities, but more often they are Instagram or YouTube personalities with a huge niche following who can help spread the word about your business or product through their social channels.

Why Influencer Marketing is considered to be generally more authentic than corporate advertising:

• 63% of consumers trust influencers’ opinions of products much more than what brands say about themselves

• 58% of people have bought a new product in the past six months because of an influencer’s recommendation

For this reason, Iceland, a popular British supermarket chain, switched from ads with celebrities to a campaign that features real-life moms. Teaming up with YouTube community Channel Mum, it now works with a number of vloggers to promote its products in a more “authentic” fashion.

And research shows that 35% of moms trust online videos like the one below more than traditional ads:

Influencer marketing is not just a trend: A Mediakix study predicts that the ad spend for influencer marketing could reach $ 10 billion by the end of the year.

But think bigger here…

Influencer marketing is also going to be affected by artificial intelligence.

With each year, AI is making the process of finding the right influencers to partner with easier and faster.

It’s helping identify those with better engagement, fewer fake followers, and a higher chance of generating a positive return on investment (ROI).

In addition, artificial intelligence is transforming influencer marketing in the following ways:

• Image recognition with ANN (Artificial Neural Networks)

• Determining influencer performance with NLP (Natural Language Processing)

• Predicting incentives with ANN

• Determining an influencer's influence

• Flagging posts that don’t follow disclosure guidelines

• Elimination of fake engagements and spam bots

2. Use more video (again and again)!

Video remained a popular digital marketing tactic in 2019, and it’s a must marketing strategy for this year, too.

In fact, video marketing is one of ( if not the ) most important marketing trend today and likely for the next 5-10 years. These numbers show the importance of incorporating video into your digital marketing strategy in 2020:

• 70% of consumers say that they have shared a brand’s video

• 72% of businesses say that video has improved their conversion rate

• 52% of consumers say that watching product videos makes them more confident in online purchase decisions

• 65% of executives visit the marketer’s website and 39% call a vendor after viewing a video

And don’t just think YouTube. There are plenty of ways to drive higher engagement with your video marketing, as you can make a video post or start a live broadcast on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn.

One of the issues that marketers have faced in recent years is the growing shift to mobile devices. Those long-form sales pages and emails of yesteryear are fading fast because they’re simply too difficult to read on small mobile screens.

However, video can present the same information in a format that works perfectly regardless of the device.

If your site includes video, it’s 50 X more likely (50 times!) to drive organic search results compared to text. Why? Because people find video content more compelling, so Google pushes pages that include videos higher in the rankings.

One of the best things about video marketing is that it makes it easy to reformat your content. Imagine that you’ve recorded a video for your YouTube channel.

Instead of just publishing it on YouTube, you could also:

• Get it transcribed so you have a text version of the video

• Publish the transcription on your blog under an embedded YouTube video for better rankings

• Upload the raw video with the transcription as subtitles to Facebook (native Facebook videos get a much higher impression share and engagement than shared YouTube videos)

• Turn the transcription into a standalone blog article with a short rewrite and addition of relevant stats and images

• Rip the audio alone and use it as a podcast episode

• Use video thumbnails in your email marketing campaigns and the word “video” in subject lines to increase open rates by 19%

3. Content Marketing Continues to Dominate SEO

In November 2019, Google rolled out some major updates to its search algorithm. The updates included the new BERT system, which is designed to aid Google in its efforts to understand the natural language that people use in their search queries.

The advice from Google’s John Mueller is that “rather than chase the latest SEO trends, it’s more important to ensure a site has fast speeds, useful links, and well-written content.”

In fact, content marketing is so important that 88% of B2B content marketers agree that creating content makes their audience view their organization as a credible and trusted resource:

Stats from Content Marketing Institute:

• Content marketing costs 62% less than outbound marketing and generates 3x as many leads.

• Content marketing has lower up-front costs and deeper long-term benefits than paid search.

• 615 million devices now use ad blockers, which means your ads are not being seen by as many people.

• Small businesses with blogs generate 126% more leads than those without blogs.

• Content marketing rakes in conversion rates 6x higher than other methods.

Artificial Intelligence

4. Get Used to Artificial Intelligence and Start Using It!

If you haven’t already realized it, 2020 may be the year that a lot of people wake up to the dominance of artificial intelligence (AI). It’s sure to be at the heart of global business and industry in the future – and it’s already taking over many simple jobs.

Just a couple years ago, Gartner analysts predicted that by 2020, AI technologies would be pervasive in almost every new software product and service – a prediction that Harvard Business Review seconded earlier in 2019.

“Artificial intelligence is the biggest commercial opportunity for companies, industries, and nations over the next few decades” and “will increase global GDP by up to 14% between now and 2030,” which means that “AI latecomers will find themselves at a serious competitive disadvantage within the next several years.”

“Artificial intelligence is the biggest commercial opportunity for companies, industries, and nations over the next few decades” and “will increase global GDP by up to 14% between now and 2030,” which means that “AI latecomers will find themselves at a serious competitive disadvantage within the next several years.”

Here are the top reasons why organizations are adopting AI in their business:

AI can analyze consumer behavior and search patterns, and use data from social media platforms and blog posts to help businesses understand how customers find their products and services.

One exciting example of AI in practice is chatbots (more on that later). Mastercard created a Facebook messenger bot – which uses natural language processing software to decipher what the customer wants and respond as if it were a real person – to automate handling payments:

Artificial intelligence will soon be the driving force behind many services and, currently, we already see it implemented in such areas as:

• Basic communication

• Product recommendations

• Content creation

• Email personalization

• E-commerce transactions

• Businesses adopting AI in 2020 will be able to cut staffing costs and accelerate growth, getting an edge over their competitors.

5. Automation

Gartner projects that 30% of businesses will incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) in their sales processes in 2020. In fairness, we should expect more, especially when you consider the amazing benefits of AI and automation for sales and marketing.

For example, you can use artificial intelligence and automation to:

• Improve Customer Retention and Loyalty

• Predict the Behavior of Your Customer with Propensity Modeling and Predictive Analytics

• Use AI-Powered Chatbots to Improve User Experience

• Leverage the Power of Audience Insights to Boost Search Ads

• Scale Up Your Content Marketing with AI-Generated Content

• Deliver a Highly Personalized Website Experience to Every User

• Optimize for Voice Search Queries

• Identify “Hot Leads”

• Reduce Cart Abandonment

• Target Customers Across Different Channels

• Boost Customer Lifetime Value (CLV)

• Upsell and Cross Sell to Customers

• Improve Blogger Outreach

• Generate Leads from Thank You Pages

• Automatically Suggest Content to Visitors

• Identify Bottlenecks in Your Sales Pipeline

• Measure the Performance of Your Marketing Campaigns

• Maintain a Central Hub for all Your Marketing Activities

• Cut Costs and Save Time

“Marketing will become a more even playing field and you’ll have no choice but to use automation.”
